Yesterday, I went out and talked to the rancher about trapping on his land this year. He gave me the go ahead, so I spent the day looking around. It looks pretty promising for coyotes. There are several praire dog towns on his land and plenty of sign around. I saw one coyote that was dumb as a rock , and just stood there as I drove by. I spared him. The snakes are still out as I killed 7 rattlers just looking around in the dog towns. Yesterday was a beautiful day . Today it is raining off and on and totally different out.  It is always nice to know that you are welcome on a place and I am anxioulsly waiting to put some steel in the ground and hang a few snares. That will be about the first weekend in Nov. Hope you guys are already to go. I will post some pictures later.

Glad we don't have to put up with the buzzworms around here! Hope you have a good year, enjoy your pics.

It is nice to have a place to look around but if I saw one of them snakes I'd dang sure not be looking there anymore.  Good luck with the line.  I'm about ready but the coyotes are not quite ready.
I say what I think not think what I say.

Sounds good for your upcoming season, Jerry.  You can have my part of those damned snakes though.  Hope you and Wiley have a great season.

I sure do. I've made more snares than I'll use in my lifetime just to be doing somthing.
