Where you located Silencer?
The northeast usually does get hit pretty good with snow dont they?

I heard someone say this was suppose to be a bad winter but with the economy the way it is I was hoping they were wrong.

I am in the NE but dog gone sonza ole man winter needs to keep out !!! LOL..

Hoping they were wrong as well, we havent had snow this early in years.  Usually around Jan is when the big ones come a calling.
I doubt anything will stick, the ground is still too warm.

I'm in the process of putting in something to help fight that stubborn ole man...

Silencer

Oh, there is a plus to this.  Yall know what happens when a cold front like this moves in  :eyebrow:

I'm off Wed, there should be a HUGE push of birds  :yoyo:

you'll be safe below Scwanton. They're usually 10 degree warmer down there.  BUT.. ya never know, its not suppose to stick on the roads  :iroll:  Drive safely.

When I lived in Syracuse, they would say, "Oh, this isn't real snow, it's just lake effects snow".

Silencer

Pretty wild ride home from work.  No probs with my 4x4 neon   I have some pics on my cell phone but dont have the adapter to upload them on here.

Cant wait to hunt tomorrow.

bigben

yeah I will be heading to pike county this thursday.  they are calling for a foot of snow up in the mountians of deleware state forest.  heck I remember last year hunting round home here in blue jeans and a hooded sweatshirt a day before christmas.  the opener for us was last weekend and I was gettin chilly enough to consider bringin out the long undies for this weekend.  I think i am gonna skip em and go to bib overalls and my heavy winter coat.  where did fall go?  I sure hope al gore gets this global warming thing figured out soon.  we might freeze to death before the ice caps melt at this rate.  on the flip side a few inchs of snow every weekend would be nice to play in on the four wheeler.  what a double edged sword.

Well I made it home as I came across I 84 from New York and Pa they were closing I 84 down behind me
There were wind gust up to 50MPH and a wet heavy snow causing near white out conditions. The state workers
were out and could hardly keep up with the snow
I am glad to be home and out of that shit

Lake effect is the real snow...everything else is just a mere dusting  We had snow yesterday here in Erie. It didn't stick. But they are calling for more tomorrow with possible accumaltions of 2" in some areas.

Snow = Ducks...lots of ducks. I just hope they stick around long enough for dinner :eyebrow: (And I can actually knock one out of the sky :doh2:)

Silencer

Bill, glad you made it across and back home.  I guess the Pocono region got it worse than us.   14 + inches the news is saying.

Steve, I'm heading out in an hour, with the winds we're having there's no need to worry about motion in your spread.

Coulter

Good luck Vic...Hope the birds cooperate for ya!!

Steve

Silencer

River came up 3 feet in the last 2 days :holdon:, currents were terrible.  Nothing in air for the first hour then I got a call to come home cuz there was a 2 hour school delay and nobody to watch my kids.   :doh2:

I'll be back out tonight, not on that river for sure.

Coulter

Dang it...I hate it when that happens :doh2: We got seven inches of snow 20 miles south of me, but not a lick in town :whew: Well nothing enough to accumulate anyway.
