As promised - here are some more pics from this past weekends hunt in the box...

We ended up going back out in the box in the afternoon and passing up bird after bird after bird since we all had our limits on Bluebills already. That was all that seemed to be flying in the afternoon. We ended the day with 15 divers between the four of us - a mix of buffleheads and bluebills.

Here is a close up of some of the drake buffs... they sure are pretty little birds.

and some of the North Bay crew...

Thats awesome, I want a nice drake buffie. All I have ever killed was a hen

Same here, I've only ever seen one with 2 hens and he caught me off guard ( one of my posts earlier in the year ).  I love to hear them buzzing in, sounds like bombs or something lol.

Those little buff's come in fast and hard...I've missed many more than I have hit. As far as the Bluebills, we haven't shot a drake yet this year. They are all hens that have come in  I'm hoping to get get a pair of them to the taxidermist, I may just have to go with a pair of buffys instead at this rate.

You're very welcome...hows the hunting been across the border? You guys get more shovelers and pintails in your neck of the woods?
