Daddy got a new toy

I first started with a bench top el cheapo tablesaw. When we bought the house I upgraded to a Black and Decker contractor saw. It served me well for several years, but just didnt quite have the capabilities that I needed. So I sold it a few weeks ago and saved all my pennies and ordered a Grizzly 2hp Hybrid. I will get pictures of it tomorrow. But WOW!!!!! Tons of power and super quiet too. I have a show next weekend that I have been needing to get some calls made, and the new saw made it easy as pie. Here are a few of the ones I finished today.
The first is a Alaskan yellow cedar turkey call with cherry paddle and base.



The next is a pecan box with maple paddle and base



I also made some wood duck/redtailed hawk calls

this one is applewood



and the last one is blackgum



I have one more call on the bench drying, a spalted maple box call with cherry paddle

Wow!  Misfire those look nice.  You call makers create things that I can't even begin to understand how you do it.

That has to be my faovrite wood to work with for box calls. You dont need chalk on any that I have made to get purrs, cuuts and awesome yelps
