Rick223 showed up this morning at the crack of dawn and we decided to slip out and make stand.

Check this out, I aint...I say I aint never seen anything like this from a coyote. I've seen it on beaver tracks etc though.

Rick said his worms were tickling him or he had bad case of Hot Butt. :roflmao:

Man it could be several things but none are for sure with what is presented. <----Man that almost sounds smart.

You know Jim, some days critters act just like humans.  Maybe it was a loooong night and a few too many drinks.   :shck:

Is that near water?....otter slide?

FinsnFur

Yeah they were easily coyote tracks. As far as the water, yea there was water near but it's not really in the fluid form most of the time. Today it was.

It was probably 25-30 feet from some water where the pic was taken, but the whole trail was over a hundred yards. I just finally decided to take a pic where we did.
This thing drug the entire outside edge of the woodline. We followed it all the way out of the woods where it started in some good bedding, sporadic, dead, weed patches.

I'm going with Hot Butt, its got a nice ring too it. :laf:

My 2nd guess was Jim Champion doing The Worm......I hear hes a good dancer.....

northern coyote

what I dont git is why the yote tracks and the "drag" diverge so much near that growth of brush, and why there are two seperate entities in the form of the drags, yet only one set of the supposed tracks?
I'm learnin' and I've got nothin' but time

Frogman

Maybe he was just scratching his balls,  I have the urge to do that sometimes, especially when when the wife is out and I'm sitting in the recliner on a Sunday afternoon in my underwear drinking a couple beers and watching a boring football game on the TV????

Jim
You can't kill 'em from the recliner!!

I wonder if hes gunna be known as Ole Assdragger, the Ghost Coyote.....like Ole 3-Toes the grizzle bar?.....

Did anyone think to follow the tracks to see what was at the end of the story....?

 No.....I wish I would have, it never dawned on either one of us.

Of course we did you numbskull! :roflmao: :rolleye:

If you look at the pic, you'll see dirt and rock on the left side that isn't snow covered. We had like a three day streak here with temps in the forties and high winds, so it really dwindled the 12-16 inches of snow we had.
That bare spot on the left of the pic is actually protected by a two lane bridge. Thats where the tracks lead, but he stopped draggin his money maker under there.
The little creek was only about 4 feet wide and averaged 6" inches in depth this time of year, when not froze solid. The whole creek bed sorta speak is actually a drainage ditch that comes down out of these bluffs and heads to the Mississippi, which was roughly 700 yards away.
