Heart barrels on some Remington rifles?

I remember hearing somewhere that for a few years Remington may have used Heart custom barrels on some of their model 700 production rifles. Does anyone know if this is fact or simply urban legend? If true is there a way to tell... special proof mark, maybe?

  Email Remington,they are pretty good at giving answers.Or their phone # is 800-243-9700, I think this number is for the historian dept. That way you get it from the ' horse's mouth' so to speak.
