I'm thinking about getting a new shotgun (12 or maybe 20 gauge) for skeet shooting, crow hunting, and just playing around with.  Anyone got any opinions.

P.S. I'm not rich LOL

IMO an older Remington 870 is hard to beat.  You can pound the salt outta them and they still rock on.

The Remington 870 would be a good choice.  Also, the Mossberg 500 is a great (and cheap) shotgun.   There are lots of accessories made for both of them.

I know the crows around here don't care much for an 870 20ga.  :nono:  The 500 is a tough one to beat too. The ONLY difference to me is the 870 has a slightly smaller/thinner forearm.

If it were for me I would buy an old used Mossburg 500 with a poly choke and paint it camo.......I own a few of em and I have beat them to death hunting them hard and they really shoot well for me and can take a lot of abuse.
I bought my last one for $40 and it was missing the safety and the front bead so I am fixing it up right now and gonna paint it.
I love them guns you can really hunt hard with and shoot well.

got to agree with Al there the 500 is one tough gun got mine last spring already camoed up shorter barrel then on my last 870 but man that think will shoot though nothing wrong with the 870's either both good guns and wont really cost you an arm and a leg to get either one  :yoyo:
there's something you better understand about me, 'cause it's important and one day your life may depend on it. I am definitely a madman with a box!
