Last week was hot and dry. I took a guy from North Dakota one day. We got up early and manage to call in 7 coyotes. I was doing the videoing . We used Wiley and it was pretty hot for him.  He didn't want to play the game very long.  I guess I can't blame him.  I did get some video but the sad part is , I lost the cam-corder. It is somewhere out on the South Dakota praire. Later in the day we decided to go back out for an evening hunt. We spent two hours looking for the damn cam-corder but couldn't find it. Have you ever tried to find somthing out in the open with just tall grass. It is just like looking for a needle in a haystack. In all we saw 13 coyotes . Just as we were getting to the calling area, three coyotes ran accross the road right in front of us. My first instinct was to pull over and blast away, but we didn't . Later on in the day we came back but didn't get any to respond. The coyotes we did get, came into hurt pup sound. Temperature was near 90 degrees. The next day the guy went with another friend and was able to get a couple more. All and all he had a great hunt. So until I can get my cam-corder replaced , I'm out of business. I guess I will have to ty a lanyard on the next one. :doh2: :doh2:

Jerry,

Sorry to hear that the camera is "out there" and not where it should be.  I have always enjoyed seeing your posts.

Ya know what Jerry.
After reading your post here I can honestly say that I am glad you lost your camcorder. Seriously I am.

The instant I seen your post and it's title I had to see what the heck happen that you weren't going to be making any more video clips.
As I started to read about the heat, etc, my heart began to sink. The first thing that went through my mind was Wiley went down.
I felt sick for a minute.
That ole dog has been a part of everything you do for a long time. You and Wiley in pictures and videos all across the internet has, to me anyway, provided some great pleasures. I envy you for the work you have put into him and him for the talent he has gained from it all. He is truly one of a kind and literally part of part of a very big family if you know what I mean.
I'm relieved my gut feeling was wrong as I read that :whew:, that camera can be replaced tomorrow.

Darn Jerry, that's a bummer about the camcorder.  Maybe you will have better luck looking for it next time. Hope so.

Geez sorry to hear about the camera but I suppose it's not the first thing you've lost.  Now you can just enjoy calling the coyotes in.
I say what I think not think what I say.
