My friend sent me these pics this week of his family with sum nice striped bass...they go to a buoy...load up on mackerel and pollock....then go up into a river and use the live bait with a 6 oz sinker dragged on the bottom with an outgoing tide...he said his dad hooked the biggest stripa of his life and lost it 10 feet from the boat...he said he had to carry pops off the boat haha  :yoyo:

Hawks Feather

Those are good looking fish.  How are they to eat?

Jim,

Isn't that about the same size as that largemouth you caught last year?

They is delicious....thats the fish to chase up in this area...stripa heaven :yoyo:...I caught my first stripa back in the day with a bass rod and bobber with a sea worm...cast it out....my nephew says that aint gunna work....as I watched my bobber dissappear like it got snagged onto a nuclear sub :shck:.........it was like hooking onto a rocket they are so strong...when your used to catching freshwater fish then hit the striped bass...BIG difference...they catch some monsters around here.
