A couple weeks ago up here in central Wisconsin, a farmer got his combine stuck in a corn field, near East Farmington.

The combine was stuck in what the farmers thought was a badger hole, that was before they saw a big black paw and then a black head come sticking out.  They knew then it wasn't a badger, but instead their

Combine was stuck in a Bear den hole.  The Bear den hole turned out to be 5 feet deep.  The bear was trying to dig out from under the wheel of the combine but couldn't get out, so ultimately the DNR told them to shoot it.

It was a male and dressed out at 287 pounds.

Some people have all the luck  :pout:

I have heard that it was in Central Illinois where the bear was found and I have heard other states. Did  search and found nothing on the net about it other than the illinois version was a myth.

But still theres a bear under that combine tire. That much aint a myth
Don't bring shame to our sport.

He died for dipshits too.

FinsnFur

Yeah, snopes.com verified it was up here in central Wisconsin.
They listed the other states falsely claiming it too.

Wow.  What are the chances of having a wheel in the same row as the den?

So your saying the bear should have bought a lottery ticket instead of digging a hole?

slagmaker,

Not the bear (his luck was not very good) but the farmer might think about it.     :shck:

It's probably not the only time something like this has happened Ilcoyote.
I went to Snopes.com to verify this one before I posted it, cause I got caught with egg on my face once.  :laf:
