Anybody else get the notice in the mail the other day that Cabela's
were raising there rates. It was at 12.99% and now
it's gonna go to 17.99%  :argh: With different circumstances
the last couple a years I have more on it then what I can
just pay off. No crazy amount, but I'll have to pay on it
a little while. Anybody have any suggestions on good credit cards
that have a low APR ? I have a Bass Pro card too with a zero balance
but I think it's 14.9 %, so it's just so so. I don't think they should
be able to raise it on your existing balance,  :nono: I think it should
just go up on charges from this point on.
Don't think they'll get much more of my business  :rolleye: (edit to
say, through the credit card, not Cabela's in general  :eyebrownod: )

I'll agree sometimes they're too easy to use, but they also come in handy. A lot on this one was used in the
last year and a half when our son was in various hospitals etc. several hotel stays, gas back and forth, didn't
take long for it to add up when it was $3.50 a gallon, about $500.00 on a fuel pump, labor, and a tow, on our
Yukon coming back from seeing him one time etc etc. more $ goin out then comin in. We would of had to "borrow"
it from some where.

I only use credit cards.  I will never have a debit card.  Too dangerous.

With a credit card, you are limited to $50 liability if the card is stolen.  But with a debit card, the thief can clean out your bank account.   :nofgr:

Always pay the balance off during the grace period and there will never be any finance charges.   :eyebrow:

I've got a Cabelas visa and also a Harley visa.  I love getting the freebie stuff from the points.  I exclusively use credit cards wherever I go.  And Semp is right - don't carry a balance.  I've yet to carry a balance in the 10 years that I've used credit cards.
