Not sure if I'm missing an inside joke or not........ I will be working on some sqwerl calls in the future.

pitw

He showed a pic of a squirrel a little while back so I was wondering. :alscalls: :alscalls:
I'd sure take any of them you showed off your hands though if they sound anything like a Canadian animal in distress :readthis:.

slagmaker

I know they use the same material to make "pipes" with and them things hold up fairley well.
Don't bring shame to our sport.

He died for dipshits too.

Butcher45

That clear brownie pan you all probably have in the kitchen......same material.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeey dual purpose :yoyo: :yoyo:  I like that and I  would sure like to see an electronic call boast about something this cool. :laf: :laf:

Barry,

Glass calls can only replicate US animals.  Really sorry about that.

Butcher,

There are many stories that have drifted around FnF (Fins and Fur) for quite some time.  As you are here a little longer you will get to where you know most of them.  Some are only told after you learn the secret handshake and go through your initiation.  You do have to have (25 I think) posts before you can start sending PMs to members.  It helps reduce the chance of a spammer getting through the background check and trying to sell Viagra to everyone (except Cathryn).  We do have our own form of spammer (goes by the name of Todd Rahm) and claims to be a call collector and when he sees your work he will be contacting you.

Have fun here,

Jerry

I put a few calls up for sale in the Hand Call Store.

I'm not into acrylic & I'm thinking "big deal  :iroll: "
The more I looked at 'em the more I realized they were glass.  :shock2:  :thumb2:
Glass blowing is one craft I've always wanted to do!!!  :eyebrow:
The horn style howler is sweet!  :bowingsmilie:

Maybe in the near future you can show us how you make your calls by video or pix sequence.  :eyebrow:

Frogman

You can't kill 'em from the recliner!!

LORDDAL

I have to say at first I was really wondering then when I saw that you make them from glass I was  :bowingsmilie: man that is a real interesting way to make some very fine looking calls  :yoyo: :highclap: will have to get a few from you at some point or another for sure keep up the great work
there's something you better understand about me, 'cause it's important and one day your life may depend on it. I am definitely a madman with a box!

I check my e-mail several times a day it's in my profile.

It will be a couple of weeks before I can make another cowhorn-style howler (or any calls I don't already have made-up)....I'm setting-up a whole new shop.  Hoping I can find a the right torch available SOMEWHERE.  There are only a select-few torches that meet my criteria/budget for a new torch, and one of them was recently dis-continued with the replacement having yet to be released.

pitw

Butcher you really don't want me trying email :noway:

What torch do ya need?
Post a pix or two & a model # & you might be surprised who might come up w/ one.

Yotehntr

:laf:  How about it VV... you have one laying around the garage?  :alscalls:
Yotehntr calls... put something pretty on your lips

Butcher45

Wow was I ever in luck today!

Found a new-condition Bethlehem Barracuda with a cosmetic dent in the face for CHEAP!  It's the torch I wanted the most, and was just dis-continued to boot!  Got an equally good deal on a very nice kiln (also just the one I wanted, that is currently out of stock everywhere), squirrel-cage fan and motor ($700+set-up), and a whole bunch of tools and supplies.

This economy makes for some great deals for the buyer.  Great day!

FinsnFur

Well ya gotta like that. :congrats:
I'm looking forward to what comes of this now that you have one :eyebrow:

Your right about about finding some good deals...people are ditching things at an alarming pace.
